A Message from the Lieutenant Governor Marketing (LGM)

Toastmaster members and friends,
 The year 2009-2010 is an exciting year in our District 61
history as our theme “Take Your Passion. Make
it Happen!” makes
us look inward to follow our dreams. Toastmasters is not
just public Speaking and Leadership it is so much more – self
confidence, time management, organization skills and planning,
teamwork, learning to adapt, learning to be assertive effectively,
learning facilitation skills, finding your funny bone, increasing
your promotability quotient in your career and community,
but most of all it is effecting positive change in each and
everyone.
So why are we then the world’s best kept secret – because
as human beings we are secretive by nature. If you are a
visitor to our website now is your opportunity to check out
a club in an area close to you and learn what makes us a
breed of people that sets us apart. An anonymous author came
up with what is one of my favorite slogans “You have
to do what other won’t, to achieve what others don’t”.
So welcome to our website and I invite you to test-drive,
FREE, what our exciting program offers in an environment
that is energized by passionate members and a dynamic program.

Make it Happen! We have a year of exciting incentives; contests,
promotions and club building seminars. Keep your fingers
on the pulse through your Area and Division Governors, through
our District Public Relations Officer, through our Club Coach
Chair, through our District website and through our District
yahoo groups.
Keywords for this year are Passion, Consistency, Fun, Excitement,
Energy, and Quality which means consistent quality and fun
meetings at your clubs will keep you engaged in an exciting
learning program, leaving you energized after a meeting,
looking for those precious opportunities in life that, with
passion, will enable you to further your personal goals and
realize your dreams.
